Summer Camp

It's official!! We're booked for a great week at summer camp at June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation in Ashford, CT. The dates this year will be July 7-13, 2002. We will be using site 8B. Check out the camp map on the forms and templates page. We will have a planning meeting during our Troop picnic late in June. Everyone going to camp must attend this meeting.

Cabin camping

The troop will be camping at Camp Worcomen in Winstead on February 15-17, 2002. We will be using the "Boathouse" as our base. Lets hope it snows. With snow and cold weather, there will be sledding, snow tubing and perhaps ice fishing and ice skating. Plan on attending! There will be a Dutch Oven Cookoff contest this weekend for the Saturday dinner meal.

March activities

A bowling night will be scheduled for early in March.

E-mail addresses

The troop committee seeks to assemble a list of email addresses to facilitate communicating notices and updates of this news and events page to parents and members who have email. The use of email will permit the troop to control some of the costs of operation by reducing postage expenses. Parents should mail a message to Martin Smith in order to be put on the troop email delivery list. Parents who wish to permit it should also include the email address of their Scout. A form is available on the Forms and Templates page for those who wish to fill it in and bring it to a troop meeting.
